Finance shouldn’t be boring

I create an anti-snooze zone with talks that are interesting, interactive and inspiring

The term ‘motivational speaker’ gets a bad rap

People envisage PowerPoint slides full of clichéd quotes being clicked through by a presenter who takes too-long pauses and loves the sound of their own voice.

Add the word ‘finance’ to the mix and you’re likely to be greeted by an eye roll and a groan.

it’s all about the audience

I tailor my presentations to the environment and the people attending so I can make the experience informative, inspiring and fun.

My goal is to motivate people to take action that will improve not only their lives but the world around them. I achieve this through a mix of honest storytelling, practical advice and clear takeaways.

I am based in Melbourne but available to speak at events, conferences and seminars across Australia and internationally.

Putting the F in Finance

Finance remains a male-dominated industry with a 2018 global survey finding that women held only 12.2% of Chief Finance Officer roles.

As the saying goes, if nothing changes, nothing changes. In this no-holds-barred talk, I will share my experience of thriving in a male-dominated industry – what it takes, what I’ve learned along the way, and what we need to do to smash glass-ceilings and achieve more gender equity in Australia and across the world.

I will also inspire women to pursue a career in the finance world by highlighting everything I love about my diverse and exciting industry.

Show me the money

Money isn’t the be all and end all of life but taking good care of your finances can help you live a comfortable life free from financial stress and worry. In this frank and interesting talk, I will outline five things the audience needs to do to optimise their income and shield their family from financial burden.

The focus areas include retirement planning, personal risk insurances, superannuation strategies, and tax planning. The audience will leave with a practical ‘to do’ list to make their finances more structured and robust. And I’ll make the experience fun (yes, finance can be fun).

Aged Care

When a loved one needs to enter an aged care facility or receive care at home, emotions often run high.  Not only do you need to find a suitable care arrangement, you have to navigate complex forms and fee structures.

In this talk, I discuss the world of aged care in a way that is simple and actionable. By demystifying the process, I make it easier for people to make the right decisions during a tumultuous time.
